Bronze sculpture ”Female Violinist ” shows a woman playing the violin. With the violin tightly clamped between her chin and shoulder and in a nice straight posture she seems to have become one with the instrument. She strikes the violin with her right arm and with her left hand she presses the strings against the ebony wood to shorten the strings. The violin was developed in Italy about 1550 and is the smallest member of the violin family, although it has the highest reach.
