Bronze sculpture ” Violinist ” shows a man playing the violin. With the violin tightly clamped between his chin and shoulder and in a nice straight posture he seems to have become one with the instrument. He strikes the violin with his right arm and with his left hand he presses the strings against the ebony wood to shorten the strings. The violin was developed in Italy about 1550 and is the smallest member of the violin family, although it has the highest reach.
