Clay sculpture “Geisha” depicts a geometric Geisha in a traditonal kimono and with white painted face. It is a tribute to the schooled Japanese female entertainers who act as hostesses. Because of their intens training, they develop a wide range of skills such as playing traditional Japanese instruments, dancing, and engaging in witty conversation. They were also considered to be muses to artists, as literally translated from Japanese, Geisha means “art person”
