Stone sculpture ‘’Swan’’ came into existence by following the shape of the stone. The rough white stone already had the majestic swan wings in it, only the graceful neck had to be revealed. By cutting and polishing the stone further, the neck and the beak of the swan have been made visible. As Michelangelo famously once said: ‘’Every block of stone has a sculpture inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.’’
